What is a quick and profitable way to sell everything that was left behind in a home but stored in a unit now?
Due to marital breakup my daughter finds herself in need of selling an almost complete houseful of things without her ex’s help. She cannot afford the storage on these items so she needs to sell quickly (her husband left everything from the house they lived in and moved it all into a storage unit. He isn’t paying the rent on it-so she needs to be quick and yet make a little $$ on it all. Any ideas out there? She doesn’t have a place to live right now, so she can’t move the things out of the storage unit to put out for sale in a yard. And I’m thinking an E-Bay type of thing would be too slow and tedious.

Have a garage sale right in the storage unit. I’ve been to a couple of these. Advertise in the newspaper saying “entire household sale”. She should get a lot of shoppers.

Advertise in your local paper that you are having a HUGE MOVING SALE! Then put the address of the storage place in the paper….Have signs and Balloons leading the way from every direction…..Try to put flyer’s up throughout your area so everyone can come. Then open up the doors and start selling! Don’t be surprised if you get overwhelmed. Have a few people there helping and taking money. This way she won’t be overwhelmed and feel like she is going to pull her hair out! This would be the best quickest way I know without having to move it all somewhere else~! Good luck!!

actually you can probvably have a sale at the facility, just check with the site manager. put an adin a couple newspapers listing the better things and the cheaper things and the dates. advertiseing is key for a quick sale. hmm…with a large abmount of donations the charities MIGHT give a bt of cahs, she’d have to call them and check. Sell it to a 2nd hand store, or a sell on consignment store. Then storage is their problem.

Try a public auction, a yard sale. Ebay wouldnt be such a bad thing to try, I guess as long as you didnt have huge things that needed shipping. Or you could just have them picked up. Yes it does seem a lil slow using ebay but you could get some good profit out of it.

Place an ad that what is for sale such as house hold items etc and give it a week and if not go with a public auction if there is a large quantity. You wont make a lot of money either way due to its second hand and people are looking for deals
