as far as i know its not but its a few years since i lived there. i presume ur male. the only prob u may find is if the flat u choose does not allow bachelors u may be asked to prove ur not a bachelor by showing yr certificate.

This doesn’t answer your question, but.. I would recommend that you do take your marriage certificate or at least a copy with you. The reason being that you will need it should you decide to have children whilst in Abu Dhabi. Antenatal/Maternity care is only available on proof of marriage.

Definately Yes ! I have just renewed my tenancy and I had to produce the certificate.
