If you watch T V, then try “HOME AND GARDENS”. Also,
get magazines, go to paint stores and there you’ll find brochures with pictures showing furniture and the latest color combinations. Everything today of color !

try Dwell magazine (they also have a show on HGTV, I believe) for clean modern lines. Also, the HGTV website is great. It can show you how to accent different colors, they have a ‘find your decorating style’ quiz and other stuff for the beginning homeowner! Cheers!

Find the contemporary furniture stores in your area and look at their rooms. Buy home decor magazines to get ideas and find out where to buy what you see. Furniture needs to be seen and touched if you don’t know the manufacturer so you will have to do some shopping to find out what you like and is good quality. There is a lot of junk out there so you have to be careful. After you get your major pieces, then you can decide how to accessorize and what colors you will want to coordinate them.

yeah have a gander round Ikea, you get loadsa ideas from colour schemes to furniture and shelving etc
